Want to intern with the Darlings?

We are looking for someone to join our Sydney HQ team as a brand and marketing intern. This position is available immediately, and would suit you if you are a go-getter with the following interests:

- Nail polish (obviously!)
- Fashion & beauty
- PR, branding and/or marketing
- Social media

If you are a recent grad, a student or even a recent high school graduate looking to learn in the school of life, and are smart and looking to learn about a rapidly growing beauty product company from the inside-out, we’d love to talk to you. If there are a few of you interested who would be a good fit, we will definitely consider multiple placements.

Responsibilities: The position will comprise of office-based work out of our Sydney HQ, as well as telecommuting and various meetings and errands around town. You’ll work across a variety of projects, including product development and marketing, social media and blogging, PR and publicity and order fulfilment.

Compensation: This is a six month internship. We will reassess the term at the end of four months, with the view to hire into an assistant position by the end of the internship period. Work-based travel and expenses will be reimbursed, and you will receive a generous nail polish and beauty product allowance, as well as exposure / access to products across our other businesses as they develop.

Darling of the Week: May 19th

As promised, things are back to normal around Darlingville as of today, and that means we have a #DarlingOTW to catch up on. Now that we’ve been doing this for a few weeks, and gotten a little bit of feedback, we’ve decided we’ll run these comps Saturday through Sunday, and announce the winner on Mondays. So that will mean that the next winner announcement will be next Monday, 28th of May, and that any entries submitted since Saturday will be considered in the next round of Darling of the Week!

All of that out of the way, this was a very difficult one to pick - you guys are getting so creative with your pics! We definitely had some favourites, but this is the one that bowled us all over for its creativity and sweetness:

Darling, we’re up and running.

I’ll hand it to anyone in the online retail space: no matter how easy something seems (even with something as idiot-proof as Shopify), the amount of work that goes into setting a store up is always going to be exponentially larger than was originally anticipated. But, after quite a few long evenings (including one that was drowned in red wine), the Darling online store is up and running.

As with all projects of this type, it’s still a work in progress, and we’ll be adding more information, special offers, and behind-the-scenes scoops here as well.

We’ve been overwhelmed with the excitement, encouragement and support that everyone has given us since we announced Darling a few weeks ago. It’s amazing to be starting a new year with a new passion project. We’re looking forward to everything that this year brings, and making the world more beautiful, one nail at a time!
